If you are anywhere around character education, you know Barbara is the expert! I wanna be like Barbara and cherish all she publishes that I can get my hands on! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE having much of it in this book now.

I just finished a year of teaching. For many reasons, I'm tired and in need of a break. But after reading What's Under Your Cape?, there's something vibrating inside of me. I'm looking forward to discovering with a new group of students what's under their capes. Children are naturally drawn to superheroes. I love the way Barbara feeds off that interest to teach the qualities of character that are so important in our future leaders. "Guess what kids? You can be a superhero too!" Barbara so willingly shares her wealth of knowledge in this book and provides her readers with many practical ways to instill the habits of superheroes in their own students. Needless to say, I'll be using this book as a guide on the side throughout this next year and many to come.
My book is dog-eared, highlighted, annotated in, underlined and completely loved. Instilling good character into our youth is more important than ever and Barbara has helped make teaching these vital social lessons easy and fun. This book is a must for every person that has a hand in molding little minds, and I don't just mean teachers.
This book is a must-have for all educators..especially school psychologists, social workers, and counselors! It is a tremendous source of inspiration, and is filled with exciting and engaging activity suggestions for teaching students about character. There are lesson ideas, book suggestions, and even ideas for bulletin board themes. I have loaded my copy with sticky notes, so I can refer back to my favorite activities and book suggestions. It's so wonderful to read about the amazing work that Barbara does in her school, and then consider how to use it to meet the unique needs within your own school.
