I love my dragon stories and this one was awesome. Fallen is the last dazmeu(dragon) she watched her mother be murdered as a child so staying away from the castle and its Queen was instilled into Fallen as a child as well as hiding her true nature. Then the Creators send her a dream about finding her mate before the Blood Moon or everyone would become human and magic would ceast to exist. She wakes up in a cell and tries to burn her way out but she cannot until S** reveals a weakness that allows her to escape but she has to bring him too as they are magically bound and she cannot go more than 20 feet away from him. S** is an Ash meaning he was magically constructed with a hidden order on paper that he must carry out.

Ms. Walsh manages to keep me guessing as well as scrolling through those pages to uncover the story. This Fated and Forbidden series with its many authors is one I look forward to and hope to be able to uncover whether or not Allendra saves her creations or if one of them fails.

This mythology with created creatures and moving in and out of an earthly realm and the magic realm of Tapestry is intriging. I liked the characters of Fallen and Saber. Fallen was bada$$ yet also had an innocence about her. Saber was a hardened warrior and a created assassin but Fallen made him lighter. There are a lot of baddies trying to stop this couples HEA including it seems fate but the twists will really make you smile.
Fallen Ashes is an interesting book that drew me in from the start with the Spell Forger. All kinds of creatures populate the pages from draes, to crawlers, to furywings, to ashes, to dazmeu, and more.

Saber and Fallen were both strong, likeable characters that had strong motivation to do what they thought needed to be done. There was lots of adventure and camaraderie between them as well, as they raced to do everything before the blood moon. Great book to get submerged in another world for a bit.
Fallen is a strong woman and meets her match in Ash. I love strong women. I don’t always like books with magical creatures and magic, but this book kept me reading to the end. This book is one of a group of standalone stories that can be read in any order. The Challenge (free) is the prologue for this group of books and must be read first to understand what is going on in this world. Blood Moon is the last book and should be read last.
Fallen and Saber find themselves locked up in adjoining cells after what they think is a really bad dream. But they both have a burn mark on the inside of their wrists by the creators giving them a clue as to who their life mate should be, and they have to find them and fall in love before the next blood moon. Will they find their mates trying to escape from prison and with everything else that is going on? Or will they be the ones who don't make it, leaving everyone magical to turn into humans whether they like it or not? I love this series and can't wait to read the next book. Five stars.
Both, Fallen and Saber had secrets that made them a dangerous target. Fallen had a mission and she must not fail the Creator and being bond to one of the Queen ‘s Guardians was not helping her cause. Saber had been denied a normal life. He was a creation without a soul, stripped off and imprisoned for what his nature made him do. Exciting and amazing descriptions with lot of action, suspense, mystery, fantasy. Love these stories that appeal to my imagination and made me enjoy the interesting descriptions that make me an avid reader. First time I read a book by this author and liked the interesting writing style. Another one on my favorites list.
High adventure....forbidden desires....love beyond fate... makes for a wonderful read. Fallen is a character I could connect with. She is tough but gentle. She can take care of herself but is pure in her desire and need to help.
Saber is not normal... he is made of earth and not of the creators. He is an ash on a mission to kill.
I loved the idea of this. Saber is like a Gollum. With a mission of death encrusted in his very being. I won't give anything away but I found a few twists I hadn't expected which always lends to an entertaining read... plus t g e sexual tension is hot.
If you enjoy shifter dragons and fantasy worlds... come on in and enjoy this paranormal romance.
Fallen is the last of her kind, a dazmeu, a dragon. She saw her mother killed when she was little, so hiding what she is was instilled in her. Saber is an Ash, a killer. The two become bound to each other and are hunted. What an interesting story. This kept me so interested, I could not stop reading. I loved the premise and found it really enjoyable. The back and forth and arguing between Fallen and Saber was great and sometimes even very funny. The descriptive writing was wonderfully thorough and I could easily picture what was going on and even where they were. All the characters were so well-drawn it was easy to love or hate them. I found this story to be well-written and very interesting and I highly recommend it if you want a really good story to read. I'm looking forward to more in this series and more from this author.
